On Wednesday 13th June 2001 a Rapid
Intervention Vehicle and an off watch fire crew from the fire station
visited Heron Pre School in Ilchester.
The visit was part of a project the
children have been working on based around the colour red. The pupils
all had the opportunity to look round the vehicle and then tested their
skills as young fire fighters by operating the hose reel.
